Atiku Abubakar Offers Explanation for the Unusual occurence in His Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Certificate
Atiku provided a clarification through Dele Momodu, who used his social media platform to relay the explanation offered by the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party's Presidential flagbearer.
Dele Momodu, formerly the Director of Strategic Communications for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, conveyed this clarification in response to allegations of forgery raised against Atiku Abubakar by members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The controversy revolved around the name "Sadiq Abubakar" on Atiku's WAEC certificate, which differed from his other credentials. Momodu disclosed that he had relayed these concerns to Atiku, who promptly provided a detailed response.
Atiku's response stated, "Yes, I used Sadiq Abubakar to sit for my WAEC, and after successfully passing my exams, I legally swore an affidavit to confirm that I am the same person as ATIKU Abubakar. I enrolled at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) as Atiku Abubakar, passed my exams as Atiku Abubakar, interviewed as Atiku Abubakar by the Federal Civil Service Commission, and was employed into the Customs Service as Atiku Abubakar. So, where is the forgery?"
Momodu, in his message, questioned whether the APC's social media campaigners would forward the numerous questions circulating about their own candidate to him and expect swift, direct responses.
He concluded with a salute to Atiku Abubakar.
