Davido Showers Accolades On Rema as "Calm Down" reaches Top 5 in the U. S


Renowned Afrobeat artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, offered his applause to fellow artist Rema for a recent musical achievement. Rema's track, "Calm Down," has secured a coveted position in the Top 5 on the United States charts.


In a recent interview on the top music station in the UAE, The Kris Fade Show, Davido expressed his astonishment and admiration for the success of Rema's song in the U.S. market.


To recap, Rema's "Calm Down" and its remix featuring Selena Gomez recently achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first Nigerian song to maintain a presence on the U.S. Billboard charts for an entire year.


In his comments on Rema's outstanding accomplishment, the DMW boss emphasized how it had exceeded his expectations. He also highlighted the global expansion of Afrobeat music and expressed his pride in seeing artists like Rema making a significant impact on the global stage.


Davido remarked, "Years ago, I never thought a Nigerian artist would have a Top 5 record in America. Rema has maintained Top 5 records in America for the past eight months, without wavering."
